Ineichen honoured for title win

Special honour for Rolf Ineichen: The Kornrad Motorsport driver was honoured during the “Night of Champions” at Porsche in Weissach. On the occasion of the Porsches annual celebration last Saturday, the Swiss man was rewarded for winning the B-Classification in the 2013 Porsche Carrera Cup German.

“Rolf went through a tremendous development in the 2013 season”, team manager Franz Konrad praises his driver. “Despite the extremely high competitiveness in the Cup he made only few mistakes.” Especially the close title fight between Ineichen and Jöst will be remembered by the fans. Throughout the complete year, the two drivers delivered a head to head fight for the title. Finally it was the 35-year-old Swiss who won over his opponent from Germany and celebrated an early title win.

“I am really grateful to the team Konrad Motorsport”, Rolf Ineichen was pleased at the award presentation ceremony. “I felt always really comfortable and that was the key to success. Franz and his team were like a big family for me.” Now Ineichen is looking forward to his next great challenge. In January 2014 the Konrad Motorsport driver is at the start at the prestigious 24 hours race in Daytona.

Also Konrad Motorsport driver Christian Engelhart received a reward at the last weekend. On the occasion of the ADAC Sport Gala the German won the South Bavarian Championship. Last season Engelhart especially impressed with a strong performance in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. The engineer from Bavaria was able to win three of the altogether 17 races and claimed altogether nine podium finishes. After all Christian Engelhart finished the season in Germanys toughest one make series as a runner-up.
