Christian Engelhart victorious at the final of the Porsche Carrera Cup

Great pleasure for Konrad Motorsport: Christian Engelhart managed to claim his third victory at the season final of Germany’s fastest one make cup and finally covers third rank in the overall driver standings of the series. His team mate Christopher Zöchling delivered a thrilling chase through the field on the Hockenheimring. Rolf Ineichen, who celebrated the early title win already at the racing weekend on the Sachsenring, snatched his altogether twelfth race victory this year.

“I have to make my team a real huge compliment”, so Christian Engelhart after his great success in the race on Saturday. Started from the pole-position, the 27-year-old delivered a flawless performance. “I watched the pursuers getting smaller and smaller in the rear-view mirror. My car was perfect, so I was able to extend my lead continuously and finally won the race.” In the second race of the weekend on Sunday, Engelhart was battling for a top position once again and in the end covered fifth position.

Christopher Zöchling could shine with an impressive chase through the field in Hockenheim. On Saturday the Austrian started from twelfth position in the grid and passed opponents in almost every lap of the race. When the chequered flag came out the 26-year-old had improved to sixth position. “What a great race”, shone the Austrian, who resides in Bristol. In his maiden season in the Porsche Carrera Cup Christopher Zöchling managed to fetch 167,5 points for his credit, covering sixth place in the overall driver standings of the series. Konrad Motorsport covers third rank in the team standings of the championship.

Rolf Ineichen finished a quite successful season on the Hockenheimring. In the race on Saturday the Swiss snatched his altogether twelfth race win in the amateur classification of the championship. The 36-year-old celebrated the early title victory already at the weekend on the Sachsenring. With that Rolf Ineichen successfully defend his title victory from the previous season. “I have to say thank you to my team for a tremendous 2014 season”, say the Konrad Motorsport driver full of pride. The racer from Sursee continued making enormous progress this year and was even able to take up the challenge with the professional opponents to battle for top-10 positions in the overall classification.

The 2014 motorsports season for the team around Franz Konrad is not over yet. At the beginning of November the team travels to Austin / Texas, to compete in the season finale of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. At the double header of the last racing weekend of the quick international one make cup Konrad Motorsport still has a theoretical chance to fetch the title.
