Team Konrad and Patrick Dempsey full of confidence before Rolex 24

Konrad Motorsport is perfectly prepared for the 24 hours race in Daytona, taking place from January 25th to 26th. At the prestigious racing classics in Florida the racing team from Germany cooperates with Dempsey Racing, the racing team of Hollywood-Star Patrick Dempsey. Franz Konrad and his stuff will be the technical partner for Dempsay Racing, went successfully trough the official test drive last weekend.

“It is really a pleasure for my team, to work together with Dempsey Racing”, says Franz Konrad and goes on: “Thanks to our long standing experience we are able to support the team especially in all technical matters. At the tests we collected some important information’s, laying the cornerstone for a good cooperation.”

Beside the technical support for Dempsey Racing Konrad Motorsport – like already in 2013 – will be at the start also with an own 911 in Daytona, because the team has to settle an old score with the legendary 24 hours race: in 2013 the team claimed a brilliant pole-position, but retired early in the race. “That was a really bitter experience”, remembers Christian Engelhart. The runner-up of the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany will share the cockpit of the brand new Porsche 911 GT America with Rolf Ineichen, Klaus Bachler, Lance Willsey and team boss Franz Konrad.

Especially Rolf Ineichen is looking forward to the event. “Being at the start in Daytona makes me feel very proud. I am really exited about the race, because the official tests were quite promising”, say Ineichen, who is the 2013 champion of the amateur-classification of the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. Franz Konrad, who will also take a seat behind the wheel in Florida, appears ambitiously as well. “We are willing to tie on the pole-position from last year and hope for a good result in the race as well this time.”
