Giermaziak furthermore in striking contact to the top

Also at the third round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup VERVA Racing pilot Kuba Giermaziak rejoiced about a result at the top of the field. At the Grand Prix of Great Britain the Pole finished on a strong fifth position. In the driver standings of the most popular one make cup of the world, Kuba Giermaziak ranks only ten points behind championship leader Sean Edwards.

Giermaziak started from fifth grid position into the race on www.cialisforsalecanada.com the 5.9 kilometres long Silverstone Circuit, located northwest of London. “Unfortunately I had a bad start and so I lost two positions at first”, the 22-year-old reviews the initial phase of the race. Nevertheless, still in the first lap the young Pole was able to snatch back one rank of the Frenchman Kévin Estre, who passed him before.

Further on a thrilling fight for positions developed around Kuba Giermaziak, which provided an enjoyable show for the British crowd on the grandstands. Separated only by millimetres, the VERVA pilot hunted local hero Sean Edwards around the track, while right behind him Attempto Racing driver Kévin Estre was lurking for his chance. “It was a truly close matter, but because my car was setup really good, I was able put Edwards under pressure”, says Giermaziak.

However, although the 22-year-old was quicker than the Briton in front of him during the longest part of the race, he didn’t find a way to pass him and finally saw the chequered flag on fifth position. “Sean didn’t give me a chance. Furthermore overtaking is everything else than easy on such a demanding race track. Nevertheless, I am happy with fifth position”, Kuba Giermaziak draws his balance. After three of altogether nine races, the Pole with 44 points ranks fourth, only ten points behind championship leader Sean Edwards.

A more inconspicuously course took the race for Patryk Szczernbinski. During the 13 laps of the race the team mate of Kuba Giermaziak stood away from all kind of trouble and crossed the finish line on tenth position. “To be honest, I expected a little more of the race weekend in Silverstone”, admits the 19-year-old, who is the youngest driver in the starting grid of the 2013 Supercup. “However, I draw a positive conclusion. Compared to the top drivers of the championship and my team mate, who’s got some more experience, my lap times were okay. I feel confident to further improve my performance in the next races.”

The next chance for the VERVA Racing pilots to fight for success in the highly competitive Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup comes already next weekend. The series will have its fourth round on the traditional Nürburgring in Germany from July, 5th to 7th. Especially Kuba Giermaziak travels with good memories to the circuit in the Eifel area. In 2011, the Pole snatched his maiden Supercup pole position at the Nürburgring.
