It’s getting hot in Texas – The Supercup finale is ahead

The fans of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup are looking forward to a season final of the extraordinary kind: The fastest one make cup of the world will have it’s final two races of the year on the “Circuit of the Americas” in Austin. Klaus Bachler travelled to the USA as one of three drivers who still got a chance on the title win. The Konrad Motorsport driver once again will give everything to close the season as successful as possible.

“I already know the race track from the weekend with the WEC and to be honest, I am really looking forward to it”, says Klaus Bachler. “The circuit is quite demanding, but to race on it is pure fun. My goal is to fight for a podium finish in both races. It would be really a great thing to finish the season with a victory.” Ahead of the race in the south of the USA Bachler covers third rank in the driver standings of the Supercup – behind Earl Bamber and Kuba Giermaziak.

Konrad Motorsport is at the start in Austin with a top driver line-up. Altogether four Porsche 911 GT3 Cup will compete under the care of team manager Franz Konrad. Alongside the regular drivers Klaus Bachler, Christian Engelhart and Christopher Zöchling, with Jeff Harrison for the first time a US-Driver takes a seat behind the wheel of the Konrad Porsche. “I am really thrilled about the race”, explains the local hero. “It’s the first time for me to drive a GT car. Furthermore it’s also the first time I compete on this race track.”

The two races in Austin are covered live by the TV-Stations Sky Sport and Eurosport. Please remember that the transmission times are different than usual, due to the time shift of six hours between the USA and Europe. Furthermore the time Shift for the race on Sunday is even seven hour, because the Americans switch form summertime to normal time.
